She was a native of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and had lived most of her life in Unicoi County. Mrs. Day was a daughter of the late John and Audrey Dykes Townsend of Coyle, OK. Day; four brothers: Clarence, George, Herman and Hershel Townsend; three sisters: Emma Sarah Graham, Ida McConnell and Oma Logan; father-in-law, Walter Day.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, son, George Day and wife, Betty Jo, who were her caregivers; daughter, Norma Jean Linville and husband, Gordon, all of Unicoi; three grandchildren, Summer Day, Autumn Day Bell and David Linville; eight great grandchildren; a "special cousin," Floyd Day of Unicoi; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Our mother took a piece of our hearts with her: Now and Forever!!
