Jack Dyles
Jack Dyles, age 81, 392 Foster Ridge Road, Erwin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 17, 2018, surrounded by his family at his residence. He was born in Burke County, NC but lived most of his life in Erwin. Jack was a son of the late Noah and Ethel Setzer Dyles. He was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. Jack worked in the trucking industry for thirty years. He was a member of Belvedere Christian Church in Kingsport and periodically attended Love Chapel Christian Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Fred Thomas Dyles; two half-brothers: Charlie McKinney and Joe McKinney.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife of fifty-one years, Amelia Suesie Fain Dyles; two sons: Jack Wade Dyles, Erwin, David Markwell Dyles and wife, Sherrie, Thomasville, NC; one daughter, Melissa Mariee Edwards and husband, Dexter, Erwin; two brothers: Frank Daniel Dyles, High Point, NC and Howard Dyles, Indianapolis, IN; five grandchildren: Noah Allen Edwards, Chelsea Mariee Edwards, Daniel Abram Edwards, Marcus Markwell and Brittany Markwell; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Kevin Laws and Noah Edwards will officiate at the 7:00 P.M. funeral service. Music will be provided by Inez Chandler, Clarence Bailey, Jim Smith, Jerry Lusk, Aaron and Laura Waddle. Pallbearers will be Daniel Edwards, Kevin Higgins, Jack Wade Dyles, David Markwell Dyles, Ronnie Miller, Danny Ray Dyles, Aaron Waddle and Ricky Fain. Committal service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to assemble by 12:45 P.M. at the cemetery. Military Honors will be rendered by Carter County Honor Guard.
