Obituary for Billie Fay Collins (Riner)

Billie Fay Collins, age 84, Unicoi, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, April 16, 2018. She is a daughter of the late George Bert and Rosie Jenning Riner. Billie was a native of Kingsport and moved to Unicoi County in 1955. She was a homemaker and a very active member of Unicoi Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, Matt Dee Collins on October 01, 2009; one son, Kermit Collins on October 08, 2016; one granddaughter, Miriam Stromski; ten brothers and sisters.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, one son, Michael Collins, Unicoi; two daughters: Brenda Stromski and husband, Martin, Gray; Lori Scott and husband, Bobby, Kinston, NC; one brother, Grady Riner and wife, Nancy; one sister, Suzie Robinette, all of Kingsport; five grandchildren: April Gentry, Juauella Stromski, Martin Stromski, Haley Greenlee and Mattison Snyder; twelve great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Unicoi Church of God. Reverend Eddie Blazer, Dr. Eugene Penland and Reverend Ronnie Holloway will officiate at the 7:00 P.M. funeral service. Committal service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Great grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 A.M. on Friday.
