Hual Hoyle, age 90, Flag Pond, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and a son of the late Spencer and Ethel Chandler Hoyle.
Mr. Hoyle was a retired farmer and a member of Higgins Chapel Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Trula Lewis Hoyle on May 31, 1993; two infant sons; four brothers: Harold, Robert, Grady and Vanas Hoyle; four sisters: Vera Carter, Delia Hoyle, Una Blankenship and Edna Davis.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, three sons: James Hoyle (Lisa), Flag Pond, Terry Hoyle (Ginger), Erwin and Ricky Hoyle, Flag Pond; five daughters: Sharlene Feagin, Olanta, SC, Charlotte Shelton (Ronnie), Flag Pond, Jane Hoyle, Johnson City, Lela Mainer (Gary), Flag Pond, Christine Shelton (J.C.), Flag Pond; three sisters: Shirley Fender, Berl Stephenson and Phyllis Hoyle, all of Erwin; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 23, 2018 in the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will follow the visitation in the Higgins Creek Cemetery. Reverend Edward Hoyle and Reverend Jerry Keasling will officiate. Music will be provided by Isaac Mainer. Pallbearers will be Isaac Mainer, Shawn Shelton, T.J. White, Nathan Cooper, Trenton White, Andrew Hoyle and Gary Mainer.
