Obituary for Aubrey Lee Hutto Sr.

Aubrey Lee  Hutto Sr.
Aubrey Lee Hutto, Sr., age 73, Erwin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. He lived most of his life in Florida before moving to Erwin in 1999. Aubrey was a son of the late Y.C. Hutto and Mary E. Ethridge Hutto.

He was a proud United States Army Veteran having served his country honorably during Vietnam. Aubrey was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.

He was a Truck Driver before his retirement in 1995. Aubrey enjoyed crossword puzzles. He was a loving and devoted husband, dad, brother and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of forty years, Pamela S. Hutto on February 8, 2016; one son, David C. Hutto; one brother, Leo Hutto and one sister-in-law, Paulette Hutto.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, four sons: Travis L. Williams-Hutto and husband, Chris T. Williams, Erwin, David J. Hutto and wife, Jennifer, Leo B. Hutto, Aubrey L. Hutto, Jr. and wife, Carolyn, all of Ft. Myers, FL; one daughter, Brenda Slabaugh and wife, Michelle, California; two brothers: Tom Hutto and wife, Janean, Claxton, GA and Ennis Hutto, McEwen, TN; ten grandchildren: Devin, Rebecca, Landyn, Connor, Taylor, Sydney, Atreyu, Shantea, Marcus and Ariel; one great grandchild, Jaileigh; three brothers-in-law: K.R. Skinner and wife, Connie, Bruce Skinner and Danny Wingate; five sisters-in-law: Sandra Peek and husband, Bobby, Marcia Remteria and husband, Tilly, Laverne Evans, Jane Hitchcock and Joyce Beltran; Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until the hour of service on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Homer Tweed will officiate at the 2:00 P.M. funeral service. Interment will follow in the Polly Edwards Cemetery. Military Honors will be rendered by Carter County Honor Guard.
