Patricia Ann "Trish"  Higgins (McNichols)
Patricia “Trish” Ann McNichols Higgins, age 69, Erwin, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at the Johnson City Medical Center while she was surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Washington County but lived most of her life in Unicoi County. Trish was a daughter of the late Arthur and Georgia Hampton McNichols.

She was a Christian and attended Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church. Trish was a former employee of Unicoi County Memorial Hospital where she worked in Housekeeping.

Trish was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved people and joking around with everyone. Trish loved life and was very active. She was a meticulous housekeeper. Trish always had a positive and joyful attitude no matter what challenges life dealt her. She enjoyed being outdoors, going shopping and just loafing around.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Elizabeth “Lib” Lane, Betty Jo Parker and Patsy Shell.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, one son, Marty Higgins, Telford; one daughter, Tracy Higgins Cravens, Johnson City; two granddaughters: Kelly Ann Foster and Ashley Nicole Mumpower; one great granddaughter, Amber Michelle Huff; a special friend for many years, Woody Tetterton, Erwin; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:30 A.M. on Saturday, July 27, 2019 in the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will follow the visitation and be held in the Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum. Pastor Charlie Byrd and Reverend Terry Richardson will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
