Obituary for Pamela Faye Padgett (Ledford)

Pamela Faye  Padgett (Ledford)
Pamela Faye Padgett, age 68, Erwin, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at the Unicoi County Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and a daughter of the late Herman and Vicie Hensley Ledford.

Pamela was of the Christian Faith. She was formerly employed by Empire Furniture and Industrial Garment. Pamela also worked as a CNA for Center on Aging & Health and Pine Oaks Nursing Home.

She loved the beach, cooking, UT Football and most of all, her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ashlie Padgett.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, three sons: Michael Ledford, Johnny Padgett (Colleen) and Charlie Padgett (Leslie); three grandchildren: Josh Padgett, Austin Padgett and Halie Padgett; two brothers: Larry Ledford (Kathy), Tim Ledford (Jeanie), one sister, Becky McInturff and late husband, Larry; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, December 5, 2019 in the Unicoi Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Dewayne Riddle will officiate at the 7:00 PM funeral service. Music will be provided by the Dewayne Riddle Family. Committal will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday in the Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Ledford, Larry Ledford, Jared Ledford, Josh Padgett, Austin Padgett, Ricky Morgan, Nathanel Ledford and Steven Ward. Everyone is asked to meet at the funeral home by 9:30 AM on Friday to go in procession to the cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff of Amedysis Hospice and the Unicoi County Hospital for the care they provided.

In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations be made to: Robert Ledford Funeral Home, 720 Ohio Avenue, Erwin, TN 37650 to help defer funeral expenses.
