Condolence: My sincere condolences to Denis family. We worked (and played) together for 20 years as police officers at the Zion PD. He was a class act and a great guy. You could always count on him. I’m proud to say he was my friend. RIP
Condolence: My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Early in my career Denny and I were sent to a family fight. Two brothers were arguing, both in their twenties both over 300 pounds each. When we arrived they began to fight, we stepped in to stop it. We destroyed the living room, bookshelves, coffee table, and chairs were in pieces. Denny dragged one of them across the floor to a end table where he knocked the phone off the table and called for help. Back then radios were hard wired into the squads, if you left the car you were on your own. I won't repeat what he said to the dispatcher, but we got help and took the brothers into custody. Recalling the living room we laughed about that afternoon for years, he will be missed.
Condolence: I am sorry to hear that Denis has left this world. I worked with him for many years at Zion Police Department. He was one of my first Sergeants and taught me a lot about that work. My condolences to all his family and friends. RIP Denny.
