Brenda Rhea (Smith) Davidson

Brenda Rhea Smith Davidson, age 79, of Elizabethton, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Johnson City Medical Center while she was surrounded by her family. She was a lifelong resident of Elizabethton and daughter of the late Kermit and Helen Tucker Smith.

Brenda retired from Alemite. She was of the Baptist Faith. Brenda showed great strength and fought hard during her illnesses. She was the Queen Bee of her family. Brenda loved family gatherings during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and picnics during the warmer weather. She enjoyed being outdoors and liked going out to eat with her family.  Brenda had a very generous heart and was a mother to everyone she welcomed into her home.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by two brothers: Kenneth “Doug” Smith and Richard “Sonny” Smith; one sister, Deborah “Debbie” Pierce.

Brenda leaves behind to cherish many wonderful memories, her three children: Susan Holtsclaw, Kenny Davidson and Tony Davidson (Kellie), all of Elizabethton; five grandchildren: Heather Richardson, Cody Richardson (Tiffany), Chase Richardson, Angelina Holtsclaw and Colby Davidson; six great grandchildren: Zion Richardson, Judah Richardson, Azariah Richardson, Selah Richardson, Nico Free and River Free; two brothers: David Smith (Saundra) and Kermit Smith (Cindy); brother-in-law, Chuck Pierce; sister-in-law, Pat Smith; a special friend who is like family, Eddie Tipton; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Brenda’s family will have a private gathering celebrating her life.
